Meet the Team

We have a crew of around 70, plus 19 cast.  All those people work hard to create a product that will be enjoyed for years to come.  If you would like to know who those people are, visit this page frequently to find cast/crew bios.  The page will be updated every few days, so come back often.  Some of them will be actors, some professional filmmakers, and some interns who are learning the trade.

Above the Line

George Escobar-Producer, Founder of Advent Film GroupEscobar profile

George Escobar has held executive positions at AOL, Discovery Communications and Tele-TV. He has worked with the CEO of Sony, Howard Stringer, and the former president of Fox TV Studios, David Grant. Escobar founded Advent Film Group when he felt called to train new filmmakers for Christ, especially directors. AFG’s first film, Come What May, was made largely by interns and has met with terrific success. George hopes that in the future, the interns trained on set will work together to make new companies for the glory of God.

Snyder ProfileMichael Snyder-Principal of AFG, Producer

As a Producer, Mr. Snyder sees himself as an “enabler,” helping others on the production do what they need to do.  With his partner George Escobar, he makes sure all the pieces of the puzzle (funding, distribution, and marketing) are in place in order to make the films possible.  He says that one of the goals of AFG is to “make great content that will build up and edify families.”  This goal of edifying families has driven him for many years as the Senior Vice President of Prison Fellowship.  Before that he had a very successful law career working in high finance.  Now, his broad experience enables him to come alongside Mr. Escobar as a Principal of AFG, providing his passion and vision for making God-honoring films.

Burgess Jenkins-Joe Finn, Co-producerBurgess Jenkins

Best known for his role as Ray Budds in Remember the Titans, and his TV performances on One Tree Hill and Army Wives, Burgess Jenkins appears confident in front of the camera. This talent he has tried to pass on by teaching the method of acting to new actors. For One Good Man, he has taken on a leadership role, not only by mentoring some of the younger actors, but by working with the Director and Producers behind the scenes. His vision for this film is in “making a turnaround and getting back to family values being first.”
